Water Stations

Water Point 3 on the Swartberg Pass - Day 2, Cape Pioneer Trek 2009

Those of you that were privileged enough to compete in the inaugural Cape Pioneer Trek in 2009 can testify of the quality of goods and service experienced at the water stations – currently the best in the business.

Water Station

The same team will be on duty to give you an even better service. There will be 3 water stations per stage.

    Each water station will be stocked with:
  • Ice cold water
  • GU Brew electrolyte drinks
  • GU Energy gels
  • GU Chomps
  • Fresh Fruit
  • Local snacks and food own to the area

Exact positions of the stations will be supplied as soon as the route for the 2010 race is revealed on 31 May 2010.

3 WELL stocked water points on each stage (GU, energy drinks, sandwiches, apples, pears, bananas, sweets, steaks at some, ice, ice water, shade, very helpful school kids from the different small towns, chilled towels for the neck, they lube your chain, take your bottles/camel pack and fill it up, clean your glasses, etc, etc, etc)
