We at
The Memory Foundation, have a
burning collective desire to make a realistic difference, in
the lives and outlook of the people we come into contact with on a daily basis. It is this vision
that sets us apart and drives the team to achieve our mission and believe in our unique initiative.
Mission
To provide printed/framed photographic memories to the thousands of impoverished communities,
downcast strangers and dispersed families within our escalating global village. This includes the
communities that we will visit during the Cape Pioneer Trek.
Vision
We believe positive memories and recollections can change one’s outlook. Surrounded by the degradation
of moral fabric, due to social poverty our recollections and reminiscences become increasingly negative
and jaded. In the gift of giving a positive photographic memory, we can restore and celebrate a period
of time that a person, group, family and community will remember. Based on this we aim to strengthen
relationships, family bonds and values thus reducing the destructive and disparaging effects of crime,
violence, poverty and abuse through the power of positive memories. We aim to provide as many of these
memories to the people we will visit thanks to the Cape Pioneer Trek.
